I woke up to this morning watching the news that China stole the US's NOC list from this hack. Ethan Hunt must be a terrible spy when he didn't have to go through all that risk breaking into the CIA. He could've just hacked the human resources department.

Well, here it is. US hypocrisy exposed. US hacks businesses too now it seems (and probably have always been) to try to steal industrial secrets. They were accusing China's hacking of business sector while differentiating themselves by saying "We don't hack businesses". They can no longer point a finger at China when they should point a finger at themselves.

This will only embolden the Chinese and everyone else - if US wants everyone to abide by the (their) rule, at least abide by the same rule themselves. Double standard and hypocrisy only destroys the trust people have in them.

There's absolutely no proof whatsoever US hackers were responsible, let alone US government, military, intelligence services, or the Girl Scouts of America. Let's wait for more facts before blaming anyone.

The CEO of Kaspersky Lab Eugene Kaspersky wrote this piece for Fortune himself:

While he didn't name names - we all know who it is with such budget and sophiscation.
As in the BBC reporting:
"This highly sophisticated attack used up to three zero-day [previously unknown] exploits, which is very impressive - the costs must have been very high," commented Costin Raiu, director of Kaspersky Lab's global research and analysis team."
In their own blog they give more information:

Specifically, they name it Duqu 2.0
And said about this :
Some of the new 2014-2015 Duqu infections are linked to the events and venues related to the negotiations with Iran about a nuclear deal. The threat actor behind Duqu appears to have launched attacks at the venues for some of these high level talks.
"Governments attacking IT security companies is simply outrageous."
If you remember the previous detailing of Duqu's inner working and its creator which is linked to the "Equation group" with history of high level of sophiscation and their very very specific targets (Iran specifically) and Obama's own admission of guilty that they used cyber weapons against Iran, it is more than abundently clear US government (specifically - NSA's Equation Group) is behind this.

I see suspicion, speculation, innuendo, and guilt by association, but no proof. So I say again, let's wait for more facts to come out before assigning blame. I'd be the last man surprised by US cyber attacks, but you need more than what we've seen so far to be reasonably certain.

So the stall on any climate deal is because top developed countries are wrangling over how much protection developed countries have while no one else gets any. It does fall in line with how Obama at UN climate summits has always proposed that developed countries have to do nothing while all the sacrifices have to made by developing countries. Since that has always failed, developed countries have to give in on something and that's is what's in disagreement but again the rest of the world doesn't get any pass.

Interesting how they want to keep this retaliation secret yet tells the New York Times about it? In other words the Obama Administration leaked this to the New York Times so the Chinese would know or they want the public to know and that's pretty much it. Like I've mentioned before these revelations seem to come up when it's exposed the US is doing something. This time NSA spying on Japan. The article mentions that the NSA plants spyware on Chinese systems to warn the US Chinese are hacking. Yeah is that the only thing they do? They admit hacking into Chinese systems but somehow that's different. Yeah if China did the same, would Obama say that didn't cross the line already and was okay? Obama wants some rules to the road established but it sounds like it's not going to be equally enforced.

It is an open secret that the NSA has been cyberspying on China, not just its allies. For the Administration to say it has determined it must retaliate is superfluous to their ongoing affair.
