so Ayi commented that J-15DT is really heavy in response to some videos. I don't know if that's based on the photos of the post he was quoting or just his own personal knowledge. I guess you can look at the lack of payload & backseat pilot in this case as support for that, but I don't know if enough.
No idea if there are any sacrifices in terms of taking off with ARMs or backseat pilot. I can completely understand that is is probably much heavier than regular J-15T without payload and also heavier than a J-15DH.

Have we seen any aircraft launch with payload yet?
They should also be fully able to launch it without issues from the catapult which is the most important aspect
I haven’t seen any aircraft launch with payload.
I am just searching for answers if there is something in those photos that I am not seeing that would indicate how heavy it is.
Has anyone noticed, we've never seen them launch aircraft from waist and Starboard side Catatapult. Maybe they would have done it, but we never got to see.it.
Nah there is no indication externally as to weight
(It's not a surprise that J-15DT would be fairly heavy in a loaded EW mission state, but what we are seeing is a minimal loaded state with only whatever quantity of internal fuel they have, and the regular wingtip ESM pods, but no EW mission pods. I wouldn't take their comment as reflecting an inherent J-15DT empty or mission weight that is of particular challenge to the EM catapults)
