I would say ignore their comments unless they have history of actually participating in deck operations. Different practices and aircraft would lead to different decks. Furthermore, a deck layout is heavily influenced by subsystems of the ship. For example, propulsion determines the size of the island and its location indirectly. You can be sure PLAN simulated and even physically evaluated many deck layouts before reaching the configuration the Fujian adopted. They have several such facilities. What Fujian has is probably the best it can have with its subsystems and for the aircraft it will operate.Any comments on efficiency of the top deck layout? There's been a lot of arm chair generals online with varying opinions.
