Why though? Did someone accidentally drop their keys in there? Or was the original just a mockup?

It's normal for them to be placed temporarily for the launch ceremony for looks, but that during the proper fitting out process they would be removed and installed properly later.

I mostly mentioned it because at the time of launch some folks were surprised it had gun CIWS, but no HQ-10. Its just testament to how most stuff will be installed "properly" after launch, including the HQ-10 (I am guessing there will be four launchers).

What impressed me is that the pier side support infrastruture set up for the out-fitting of PLANS Fujian. This probably would enhance time and work efficiency and cut down on unproductive idle time, and a shorter out-fitting time than otherwise.
