I only follow that Jerry Hendrix guy. He's a retire USN Captain and an influential Navy-related think-tanker. I found that tweet & retweet of his quite curious so posted it here.

Agree, they do seem to reek of condescension as if only the USN & its European NATO allies have the god-given right to build a Carrier Force.

The launch is delayed to at least late June according to this guy. Opinions?

Please don't use SDF as a sounding board for random people who make videos.

Based on the extent of work that 003 has caught up on after lockdown ended for the shipyards, a launch sometime around the mid-year mark is reasonable. Anyone at this stage claiming a specific date is being a bit bold.

It's very reasonable to ask questions, but often linking to a video is unnecessary unless it is someone of known repute or someone that you believe is credible. Just come out straight and ask the question instead..

I find it presumptuous when hobbyists with no operational experience criticize the layout of an aircraft carrier that has been designed over many years.

USN and Newport News that build one supercarrier every 4-5 years for last 50 years and do have accumulated knowledge and experience, have built Ford class with defects in such basic things like aircraft elevators. But of course, China when building FIRST really Chinese aircraft carrier, will make everything just fine, because they can't make a mistake. And no, you can't criticize that, because otherwise you are an hobbyst and probably American agent and China-hater?
