this particular image is fake, photoshoped by someone to screw around. The original image has been posted and we can see some good old tracks for EMALS.

Leaving one meaningless sentence either as reply or as a statement use to be strictly forbidden on sinodefence forum. It was one of the ways to make sure keeping the quality of this forum at an acceptable level. I hope mods would continue with this tradition.

Hey guys, is it possible that we have mistaken the elevator type and shape in our prediction of the carrier. Is it possible that 003 operates the same square shaped elevators as Shandong and Liaoning, and thus have 3 elevators instead of two. Note that those are small elevators that can only lift 1 fixed wing aircraft at one time, same as the ones on Liaoning and Shandong. This makes sense if we determines the Shandong as having a regular airwing of 24 J-15's in total, and the 003 as going to be able to operate 36 J-15's in total, under normal circumstances. And this is less risk, because it would mean less entirely new system/equipment on a project that already has a whole lot of new equipment/technology.

None of the predictions about elevator geometry and configuration has reached any sort of consensus yet.

It's mostly still fair game.

Honestly we are just a few months away from having this particular question settled for good, and personally I've stopped at this point trying to guess, given we don't have anything definitive to point if in one direction or another.
