Why can't you stop for the time being posting the recent controversial photos like for 003 to Twitter and facebook especially big names like Deino with thousands of followers? When there's an ongoing investigation for leaks? Do you want another Chinese forum to get closed after cjdby?

"Hey lets stop posting images so they dont stop us from posting images." is some four-dimensional thinking, I give you that. You reckon they just go back into hibernation if we just all go to ground for half a year?

You'd think that if OPSEC was a concern for Jiangnan, they wouldnt have put all their supposedly sensitive shipbuilding smack in the middle of the approach for Shanghai Airport and co-produce with commercial contracts. Realistically guessing this was likely related to a PLAAF system getting recorded overflying a road in some regional area, not any naval construction.

Because that's not how it works.

First of all, this site isn't running from servers located within China's border (else you should see a register number issued by the Chinese authority, usually the local police department where the server is). Second, none of us here is the "primary source" of whatever photos out there - typically we re-post from other's re-post, if you know what that means.

Even most of the bloggers including Deino are mostly re-port stuff from those stuff first popped up in China's sites, the difference between us and whatever Western "journalists" (/sarc) out there is that we've superior linguistic when Chinese language is concern, if not also some touch of relevant expertise/experience to put to use. Western "journalists" typically copy&paste our stuff/rambling and off for tea.

In other words, when we post anything here, they're "already out there" likely for more than an hour.

But, to be fair the advent of internet and portable cameras proliferation in the form of smartphones has make the job of spy agencies so much easier. Shutting down those "freebie sites" does make things difficult for them and they've no other options but revert to old (but tried and tested) methods such as satellite photos and "pay service", which the latter is what the Chinese authorities wants to nail.

Besides, please don't tell me that you haven't notice there was a 鸿门宴 at Anchorage, Alaska last week. Things will get "really warm" for at least a few months before a settling to new calm. That's why there's such "crackdown"(CJDBY is one of those very famous ones out there, naturally there be attention by the authorities).
