If the Brits could transport multi-thousand-ton modules across the country, then there's no reason why Chinese shipyards can't do the same within Shanghai.

This is how the british did with the QE2 carrier modules.


The harbor basin in front of the construction site will be completed. Then the modules can be pushed onto pontoons and transported to the building dock.

I see no activity in that harbor basin whatsoever, and i dont know if they can continue to build up that piece of the hull without it becoming too big to transport out. However, its obvious that the chinese must have a plan to build this ship. We just have to wait for it.

That particular module was one of the smaller ones.

These were somewhat larger and a closer approximate to what we are seeing being assembled so far at JN:
