fzgfzy strongly suggested a while back that 003 would be built in large blocks before getting assembled.
Technically speaking most modern shipbuilding is modular in nature but 003 will be built in larger prefabricated blocks than say, 002 (which was also technically modular in nature but where each individual block that saw final assembly was smaller than what is expected for 003)
Much less piping and wireing has to be connected after putting the modules together.Why is that? I presume that larger blocks are more complex to build than smaller ones. Is there any advantage to that?
