Not really. Most times in my USN days escorts/plane guards were far off in the horizon.

I think in battles the warships need to stay out of the max range of each other’s CIWS, and some more for safety. That’d be more than 10km at least.

At the current rate of trials every month do you think there will be an August sea trial?

or do you think they will stop for typhoon season? I believe they might do an august sea trial after this one despite the weather.

This will provide them the opportunity to do the adverse weather tests and high sea states tests.

By the way typhoon season starts from around May to October, sometimes extend into November. They will not stop the sea trials.

I saw rumors that they would pause for typhoon season on the internet. Now after reading what you have to say I dont think they will stop either.

have they finished testing the carrier for this trial and are just waiting?
