I'd say "anything"-001A is 100% wrong... However, "anything"-002 has at least 33.33% of chance being correct (Type-002, Carrier-002 or Project-002). So, why few (at least only few, not most) forum members still think "anything"-001A is better than "anything"-002 is something can't understand at all.

Exactly my point since months: Why keeping a 100% wrong designation when at least a suspected - either Type or Project 002 - is already confirmed?

That's the way it is. But it is not a problem, because we all know it. We accept "001A" in the thread title and avoid using the terms "001A" or "002" in our posts. So no misinterpretation is possible.

Shouldn't we change the title of this thread to "Chinese Aircraft Carrier 002" by avoid using hyphen, so no disagreement of "what"-002. and describing the important number of "002" which has been confirmed several times last year, but crucially getting rid off "Type-001A, CV-17 and Shandong" none of which has ever been officially confirmed. Of cause, in the coming months and years if any more information regarding to the final designation and naming of this carrier coming out, we can and welcome to add whatever the official designation and name to the tile if needed. But for now, only 002 has ever been confirmed, full stop...

We are not in a position to discuss this question. The forum operator or his representative have made it explicitly clear that and until which time the thread title remains unchanged. We should accept the thread title and avoid the two terms "001A" and "002" in our posts, so there is no risk of confusion.

A large part of Bohai Bay will be closed on May 12, between 07:00 and 16:00 local time, due to "military mission". The forbidden zone is approximately 200 x 150 km.
