I don't see how based on this timeline CV-17 could have learned anything of real significance from the operation of CV-16 prior to CV-17's finalized design.

I don't see how based on this timeline CV-17 could have learned anything of real significance from the operation of CV-16 prior to CV-17's finalized design.

The time definitely doesn't line up where they would be able to produce any significant changes derived from real life operations of CV-16.

I imagine any changes they may have made between CV-16 and CV-17 would have been based on examination of the then ex-Varyag's design versus whatever of their own design conclusions/optimizations that likely years of theoretical work, studies and examination of carrier operations from other navies may have produced.

Latest rumours from a Dalian shipyard hostess claim the ceremony for 001A's launch is tomorrow. Unfortunately for the hostesses, they weren't hired for that ceremony.

Also, flags have been erected above the bridge
