Thank you!! and a hearty amen to what you posted!

AOs are one of the hardest working folks around. Most folks think they just secure the ordnance and then go BBQ and what not. AOs job is 100x more than that.

There is a team of folks who gets the job done and everyone must work in concert or people die. They need to know exactly what their specific role is when attaching the ordnance.

Thanks again.. there's no half steppin' when your an ordie. Ordies must know what they are doing at all times when handling weapons.Did you see the large Black shipmate in the video? Trust me . He knows those weapons inside and out and all the proper loading procedures.

As for the PLAN. Those PLAN shipmates I saw loading what ever weapon we could not see appeared to be very safe , cautious and professional in their job...albeit a little slow for me. Of course they are learning on the job..so to speak.

Over the years the USN Aviation ordanancemen have proven that loading weapons by hand is faster than using a weapons loader. This was proven aboard USS John F Kennedy during their deployment in 1971-'72 when the "pre-load concept" was tested. Using weapons loaders and pre-loaded bomb racks proved to be a real pain. I was there..I know. But of course the Chinese can use what-ever method they choose to load weapons. What-ever works!
Perhaps this is where powered exoskeleton can shine the most.

Great pix...I won't make many comments on that weapons loader. It must be adquate for the PLAN tempo of operations.. The weapons loader looks like slow motion loading to me. Just my opinion.

One thing I like is how many shipmates are on the flight deck of CV-16 doing various task. You can't have that many shipmates on the "roof" without proper training and organization. Bravo Zulu! = (A Job Well Done!)

Interesting. In the screenshot below from this video, his hat has the letters "LSO" on the front, and something looks like PLAN flag on the side. Could it be a standard issue?

I know what LSO means on aircraft carriers. This is why I think it is interesting if the hat is PLAN standard-issue.

In a different video showed up here a couple of weeks ago, another PLAN pilot spoke "LSO" among Chinese to a TV journalist interviewing him.

So it's likely that the English term "LSO" is used widely on Liaoning.
