Why? Even without the Type 346A, Liaoning has more radar than any other carrier in the world. Its the only operational carrier with an AESA until the QE and the first of the Ford class comes into service. I have heard mentioned before although I am not sure if its true, that the particular radar on the Liaoning while using the Type 34, isn't the same Type 346 used on the Type 052C with the C-band arrays used for the HQ-9 removed, since there is no point in having them in the carrier, and more S-band elements are added for better search performance. On top of that you still have the Type 382, which is the main search radar for the Type 054A on top of the Top 346.
Changes on the superstructure of CV Liaoning after refitting except those which are easily can be found like enlarged windows and newly painted hull number, one should note the EW equipment on second floor was replaced by one with large plates.
I think one of the EW sets may have changed at the 4th step of 5 steps. The plates may be an attempt to conceal the unit rather than as a part of the unit itself. The windows are larger two and two of the bulbs on top may have changed.
Theres more
Airholes right platform at the elevator are gone.
The box at the liferafts is removed and more liferafts added.

Liaoning is commissioned? Maybe someone can update the wikipedia page from refitting to commissioned. According to Wikipedia there are many carriers under construction. I doubt that is correct. I have been blocked.
