I'm quite suprised by this. I assumed she would have done some exercises down in the southern Spratly Is. and out in the Philippine sea. She def does need to do some transits of the first island chain straights with her group to give a chance for familiarisation and surveying to be done, as well as just gain confidence and experience and building the procedures/know-how for for blue water operations as second nature for her crews.

they ever was near coastal waters, never entering SCS Islands (like Spratley) sea as I know.

Radars and sensors
Let's talk about the motherships and the frontal planes of the islands. From the top to the bottom, the 382 radar has two functions: air alert search, ultra-low-altitude search, and sea search. There are two types of target instructions, Capacity more than 1XX batch. The following is the fire control radar is responsible for the ship's weapons, and then below the 346-type active phased array radar, aircraft carrier navigation control room hanging surveillance cameras below the system. The left-hand side is equipped with a navigation radar, OTHR radar, many electronic warfare systems, and a surveillance camera system suspended below the aircraft flight deck control room. Rear of the island from top to bottom with a data link antenna, shipboard firearms control radar, active phased array radar front. Airborne command and control tower room is equipped with an automatic approach system of carrier-based aircraft and its radar (bad weather environment for landing) and 4 surveillance camera systems.

Self-defense systems
There are many whip communications antenna around the hull, there is an optical assist system, the hull on the right there are two 1130 near anti-artillery, live-fire target test intercept 3 Mahe swept the sea anti-ship missiles. An 18-mounted close-in missile system, composite mode guidance, regardless of launch and after the fight against multi-target capabilities. The left side of the hull is two 18-mounted near miss missile system and a 1130 near-cannon.

Speed, aircraft carried, number of sorties
Mothership speed 3X section. More than 40 aircraft carrying aircraft, 26 F-15 multi-purpose carrier-based fighter jets, 6 straight 18 early warning command aircraft, 6 straight 18 anti-submarine helicopters, two straight 9 rescue helicopters, two straight 18 transport helicopters. The highest take-off and landing record day 1XX sorties, the actual dispatching sorties dozens of sorties per day.

Describing the carrier battle group
Liaoning ship formation by 2-4 destroyer 1-2 frigates 1-2 attack submarines formed.Composition of air defense command functions by the Liaoning ship is responsible for. The Shipboard Operations Information Center is designed to take into account mission requirements for fleet formation operations. Aircraft carrier formation team to implement the principle of hierarchical anti-air threats. The innermost part is the local air defense zone, mainly the carrier within 40 nautical miles of the aircraft carrier itself and the area covered by the screen of the naval vessel. Then there is an air defense zone in the area where formations generally send dozens of nautical miles out of an anti-aircraft destroyer to build a regional air defense zone and cooperate with the carrier-based aircraft to increase the interception depth. One of the farthest areas is the long-range air defense zone, from the aircraft carrier formation of 150 to 200 nautical miles, mainly responsible for the establishment of a variety of carrier-based aircraft.

Formation of a multi-layer anti-submarine force, to remove the attack nuclear submarine did not say. . . Straight 18 anti-submarine helicopters as the main outermost anti-submarine. Its scope reaches 300 kilometers. Equipped with a new type of active and passive towed array sonar and anti-submarine rocket-assisted torpedo frigate as the main anti-submarine search and attack missions.

J-15 missiles and pylons
I saw a friend said the problem rack. . . . . F-15 used the rack is divided into two types, one is the rail rack, one is the ejection rack. Rail-mounted pylons are mainly used for mounting of air-to-air missiles such as PL8 PL12 on the wings use. The catapult pylon is mainly used for mounting the PL12 at the belly position (ignited after it is thrown), and the airborne spreader (500 kg, 980 kg) without power gliding range of 80 km and power version of 200 km )
Satellite-guided gliding bombs and ordinary bombs, anti-ship missiles are also using ejection pylons, rack weight from 25 kg to hundreds of kg range. The use of the compound ejection hanger on the F-15 allowed him to carry more weapons.

KJ-600 in two years?
After the new domestic aircraft carrier carrier test ship carrier in Liaoning adaptation, formation adaptation experience coupled with their own design improvements, as well as the new big drive to join, will have a stronger combat capability. In addition, let us look forward to the newer domestic aircraft carrier and two years later, the fixed-wing AWACS. . .

Next carrier probably with EM catapults, CV-17 hangar 20% larger than Liaoning?
The new domestic catapult aircraft electric bomb is more and more likely. Four generations of carrier-based aircraft also did not say earlier. Domestic new slippery aircraft carrier hangar than Liaoning ship about 20% can be said?

Progress of third carrier
At the end of 18, it is possible to see the new carrier carrier segment using the integrated radio frequency (RF) management technology of Kadoshima Electronics.

More on J-15
Say something about F-15, avionics and fire control this one from the J-11B, the complete air capability plus multi-purpose upgrade. Most of the weapons used by a HNA fighter bomber can use it. 601 from Ukraine
The T10K is scrapped, so flight controls such as jacks, software and so on all use our own technology to respond faster. To put it simply, the help that T10K gives us is a case. So machine
What is the layout of the body internal wiring with the Soviet Union 33 is very different.
F-15 emphasizes the means of increasing mobility is complex, most of the lift at low speed flight prone to rise in front of the center of gravity, the pilot must be fine manipulation. . . The next step as more flight training experience to use F-15
These experiences improve the flight control system to obtain better potential to play.

Hinting at upcoming news coverage of night operations?
To say one thing, a list of reporters for military coverage of the highly-trained training course for carrier-borne aircraft of Liaoning Ship in the coming months has been set. . . . . . . Guess what training subjects
23.gif

More on the same topic
Public reports are invited to the military record on the ship (no one would dare to send photos leaks are sent through the review), only the military commander on board when the night take-off and landing will have a public report. . . Pilot taking off and landing technology at night and carrier-borne airborne equipment are already available, only poor coverage. 13 years strictly calculated low visibility landing.

KJ-600
Domestic fixed-wing early warning aircraft length is shorter than the F-15.

More on sorties
That 1XX take-off and landing pilot training pilots took off. Does not have practical significance. Actual combat dispatched a day in dozens of sorties. The combat capability is already available.

Hangar
Liaoning ship hangar design flawed, domestic aircraft carrier design more scientific. . . .

Fifth generation carrier aircraft
. . . . . .
a15.gif
In two years, there are all sorts of surprises. What are the fixed-wing SSB early warning aircraft and the fourth generation of carrier-borne aircraft (possibly making their first flight at the end of 19)? These two years are 18 19 and two good years.

That's most of it.

To admit I don’t know how reliable this guy is, but I thought it was confirmed that the new carrier’s hangar is not larger ... making IMO all his posts questionable.

Intrepid

Major

26 fixed wing aircraft as maximum equipment in case of war - I think is plausible.

I don't know if the hangar is larger or even if he's saying that it's larger, but he's a very respected insider.

I do recall that one of his earliest mentioned claims (quoted by this forum, that is) is a very detailed prediction of the J-15's combat capabilities and future upgrades, first posted in 2014. One of his claims that apparently came "true" is that the J-15's AESA would being assembly by 2015-2016 (according to Henri K., the AESA began development in July 2016).

Aside from the 20% increased size claim, his other points are not necessarily outlandish, since 1-2 years seems like a reasonable time frame for the appearance of the KJ-600 and J-XX.
