001A CV-16 Liaoning to be floated out soon, after a 6 month-long maintenance and upgrade works at Dalian. It is expected that the upgrade and finishing works will continue for another 1-2 months before Liaoning can set sail again.

6 months is in line with all previous estimates, and the next one would probably be about 2027-2028? Having the Taiwan 2027 Deadline in mind, there should be one more dry dock visit before the “shit hits the fan moment”, if that does indeed happen.

so after how long the ACC need to return to dry dock
for maintenance etc my guess is around every 4/5 years

such a big carrier these two sisters are

would like to see in the near future 003 flanked by CV16 and CV17 sailing somewhere in the sea

with full strength carrier wing on both

36 x J15/J35 on 004
24 x J15 on CV16 and CV17

= 84 fast fighter jets over a area away from home not bad for air power and power projection
