I wasnt exactly suggesting there will be one MLU and this is it. Yes, this is the second major work since 2018. I dont think we will see profound work like carried out then, given the 2018 work was done to bring the carrier in line with Shandong config (notably aviation C2).I think this is second of scheduled major refit, not really MLU, the first major refit was in 2018, major work involved resurfacing of top deck and repainting of the bottom Hull. That was around 5 or 6 years after commission. Current refit is about 4 1/2 year after the 2018 refit.
I expect MLU to be carried out around 2035. CV16 should serve for 40 to 50 years from 2012.
That said I also do not expect a notably different MLU level event in 2035 or any other year. Likely IMO we will see more work along the current lines carried out a few years down the road. I am skeptical the carrier will remain service for 40 to 50 years and expect phasing out sooner. But thats just my guess.
