Oh cruds I think you're right! I'd always thought both 16 and 17 had 1130 + HQ-10 on all 4 CIWS points.
Looking back the forward port sponson have always had the lone HQ-10 sans 1130.

Look at the J-15, it's a mock-up, same for the missile. It has no markings or joints, looks like filled and sanded GRP.
Does anyone have a picture of both CV-16 and CV-17 in one photo frame? Tried the old thread but many photos are gone or inaccessible

Is the '16' on the island's side for real? I'd never seen it painted on there before.

It is real.
Photo released on 2019-02-24, CV-16 sailing out on sea trial after completing its maintenance (while berthing along side CV-17 which was still under out-fitting/sea trial, refer to 2 post above).
Interesting indeed. 2019 seems pretty recent for that particular paint job of displaying the pennant number on the island which has turned out to be a short-lived decision as they've since painted over it yet again.
I honestly had no knowledge of that ever happening haha! I'd thought if that was actually real it would've been done prior to/shortly after commissioning, but looking back to the older photos she certainly didn't have it painted on the island.
