It is interesting to see if masks or the lockdown contributes to the decline of flu outbreak.

I think more articles would come out now to warn people that vaccination isn't bulletproof as the general public acceptance of vaccines increase. The MSM no longer worries as much about publishing such information.

So 150 million doses per month which is enough to vaccinate 75 million people per month.

Still not enough If we include other countries that China wants to vaccinate as well. Do we any information if they will ramp up the production even more?

There's a few things at work. I myself am not an expert or anything, just from what I have read.

1. There was the case of Myriad Genetics who patented the "breast cancer gene". They were charging royalties on genetic tests that detected this gene. It was later challenged in court and invalidated on the basis of "something that occurs naturally cannot be patented".

2. Issues of medical consent. The famous case of Henrietta Lacks, a black woman who died of cancer. Cell samples were taken from her and and the cell lines developed from her samples continue to be used in research today. She never consented, and a lot of what researchers have done (i.e. publishing her name) would be illegal now.

This isn't a bioethics thread, so I don't want to throw this off into a tangent. However, my point is that it is very scary to consider something like your above scenario. We always hear the term "rule of law", so imagine your scenario, add in some clever lawyers who come up with a bulletproof "worldwide exclusive use" contract, and see where that takes you.

Meh that could only happen in the US and the West.

China would just pay royalties to the company and some hash money to the individual and then start using it.

Such revolutionary therapies for cancer are a part of the social responsibility that a company in China has.

All those infected experienced only a mild form of the disease, and none were hospitalized......."

I think we just have a second managed isolation worker testing positive for covid after having had her second Pfizer shot.
I heard on a talkshow where a person said their relative had a bad dose of covid in the UK about April last year. However when tested, she showed no antibodies to the virus 6-7 months later.

They plan to eventually ramp up the production to 4 billion doses. There should be another big jump in late April to early may

Israel study reported that the antibodies peak around 4 weeks after the second dose. It might be a good idea to test people antibodies 6-7 months after vaccination to see if they need another boost shot.
