Has China Done Too Well Against Covid-19?
I've seen this guy before. Huang Yanzhong is a public health expert based in the US who always writes articles condemning China. He keeps bringing up scandals from more than ten years ago. Things change very fast in China as we all know. The authorities have done a decent job preventing historical scandals from repeating themselves, and food and health standards have risen. Not that things are perfect. Does anyone have more information on this so-called expert? He does seem to be cut from the same cloth as the other Huang, Huang Yasheng, who beefs up his paycheck by writing hit pieces on the ways China is screwing up on top Western publications.
They have PhDs in their respective fields, public health and economics, and while criticism of the way China can be improved is welcomed, you would think China is completely and 100% wrong about everything from the way they cover the country from their desks in the US.
If you're not aware of the other Huang, Huang Yasheng, he writes economic hit pieces on China also on the tabloid New York Times
(published at the start of 2020)
