It is also worth noting the alarm the new Brazilian variant of Covid is causing in governments around the world, with many nations banning flights from Brazil.

It is interesting that no one in the media is making the blindingly obvious connection and asking if the Sinovac results might have been skewed by the much more potent Brazilian variant.

Although the plus side is that the Sinovac vaccine would appear to be clinically proven to be effective against the new Brazilian strain in so far as preventing deaths and serious illness at a minimum.

Good point, but you would have to ask the same with Pfizer, Modena, and any others in relation to the new American strain which is supposedly even more contagious.

No crowd control whatsoever, and no mass vaccinations yet. Yet new cases and deaths have been declining in India since September. What the hell is really going on in India?

But guess what, virtually no one in the MSM is asking any hard questions to India. Many are still eager to frame China for under-reporting and cover ups. However, now that there is new a surge of Covid-19 in China, its big news again.

Apparently there is another Chinese Covid-19 vaccine being trialed in Russia. Limited info, but interesting to know. I thought Russia would focus on its own Sputnik V vaccine and ignore the other vaccines by now.

This vaccine will get registration certification in Russia within days, as I mentioned the other day:

Russia May Give CanSino Vaccine First Global Approval​

CanSino Biologics Inc.’s Russian partner expects local authorities to register the Chinese company’s Covid-19 vaccine soon, potentially marking the first approval for use of the inoculation outside of China.

“All registration procedures have been completed, we expect to get the registration certificate in days,” Nikolay Dodonov, head of Petrovax Pharm’s medical department, said in a phone interview.

The CanSino vaccine is currently undergoing Phase 3 trials and has been granted military approval in China, which is more limited than emergency authorization.

My bad. You've posted this news earlier. And your news was much more informative.

Its nice to see Russia and China cooperating and competing on Covid-19 vaccines in their own healthy way. No "my vaccine is better than yours" kinda BS that we see from the West and India.

This one is actually the first vaccine candidate in China that entered and finished phase I and II trail. It is also the one that was planned and cancelled for phase III trail in Canada. It is developed by Major General Chen Wei of PLA military medical academy, she is also a member of the China Academy of Engineering.

It is very strange to me that China did not plan more countries besides Canada for phase III trail for this candidate. Without the cancellation it could have been months earlier for it to get approved. It could be even earlier than the mRNAs because this one is the first to finish phase II and review was good.
