It's the only strategy that works, wearing mask and social distancing is the best and basic tool to deal with a viral pandemic.

Masks are over 90% effective if worn correctly. Add that with tracing/quarantine and social distancing, any airborne pandemic can be crushed without vaccines.

West just makes it look hard.

Wearing masks and social distancing works in the same way as vaccines. It helps to prevent infection and if one gets an infection, it helps to reduce the severity of it (as one scientific study has found out, having to do with virus load).

In some way, they are like vaccines with lower effectiveness of like 30% to 40%.

None of the 50k Wuhan healthcare workers got infected due to PPE despite working in COVID infested environments.

Also, masks have always been the go to for the immunocompromised like organ transplant patients, lupus, HIV, etc... It protects against all sorts of diseases/pollutants/allergens and is much more effective than most vaccines like you said.

Sadly, our resident troll is uneducated.

So far no company has publically released raw data. I don’t think any of the COVID vaccines can be compared at this point.

But media likes to crucify China for it cuz we yellow. Another reason to not give a shit about their self inflicted plight.
