Xinjiang is now under covid-19 lockdown.

My wife has relatives in Xinjiang. Her cousin was quarantined a few weeks back because she was on a train that had a passenger with a confirmed case. Yesterday, we learned from her uncle, who lives in Hami, that everyone was now under lockdown.

Apparently there are a few dozen cases in Urumuqi. There are no cases that we know of in Hami.

My entire family from both mom and dad side is from Urumqi. We locked down in mid-july, cases were rising until about early August and now they have dropped. 2 days in a row with zero cases. They are lifting lockdown soon.

Trump slams New Zealand's 'big surge' of 13 COVID-19 cases. More than 400 US counties reported more than that in a day

At a campaign rally on Monday President Donald Trump said that despite New Zealand claiming to have succeeded in wiping out COVID-19, the South Pacific country was in fact in the grip of a "terrible" upsurge in COVID-19 cases.

"You see what's going on in New Zealand?" Trump said in Mankato, Minnesota. "They beat it, they beat it, it was like front page they beat it ... because they wanted to show me something. The problem is ... big surge in New Zealand, you know, it's terrible. We don't want that."

Authorities in New Zealand confirmed 13 new infections on Tuesday.

At least 407 American counties reported at least 14 new cases Monday, a USA TODAY analysis of Johns Hopkins University data shows.

Translation... this is what the US will be doing so they want to accuse someone else of planning to do it so it lessens the anger towards them. Do we really expect if the US came out with a vaccine first, the US won't be making demands to countries like China before getting it...?

It's funny how the US media is all riled up over Russia claiming to have a vaccine. Is the world suppose to start procedure like how the US handled the coronavirus outbreak? They also when counting how many vaccines are out there in the works leave out China. They only mention the Western vaccines that are in phase three trials when China has one vaccine that is following Western peer-review standards to why they say China's vaccine is the most promising. I don't know what's what when it comes to vaccines but interesting how they will say China is ahead despite hearing about all this positive data from Western rivals yet not peer-reviewed?

The stupid part is that they consider China to be the better candidate for the vaccine, yet they still attack China despite China doing everything according to procedure. Hence honestly, who on earth can trust the USA to make a proper vaccine when they are not transparent on the process and hence, they even talk about monetizing the vaccine to the point that it is going to cost 3 times that of its European counterpart.

They seem to be done everything they can to deflect the blame until there own house burns down. They may proceed to cry some more as I have seen that things like this

is obviously going to test the US military loyalty to their leadership. Should China get the vaccine first, this is going to be at a time when SHTF in the US since the long China takes to iron out the vaccine, the USA will be begging for help since they have kicked out all those that could have helped them

Russia released the vaccine to the public directly without doing a phase 3 trial. That's the reason they could widely distribute the vaccine so early. China, on the other hand, are conducting proper phase 3 trails (randomized, double blind) for 3 vaccines currently, the most in the world. That's the reason why many think China will be the first one actually to have a clinically proven vaccine.
