China suspends imports from U.S. meat processor Tyson Foods

The meat processor recently reported COVID-19 cases among its employees, prompting an assessment of the list of meats eligible for export to China

The force majeure clause of the phase one trade deal between China and the US might be triggered if more meat companies in the US are affected by COVID-19

I don't know if it's still like this, but from what I remember, Chinese supermarkets sell meat unwrapped and anyone can go pick it up and inspect it, which is obviously very unsanitary.

This looks like a representative of how meat are sold in supermarket

According to an expert epidemiologist at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston is on track to become the worst hit city in the US, much like Brazil. New York won’t even be able to compare to us in a few weeks. Our ICUs are being filled up fast. This is not a good picture...

For those of us living in Houston and other parts of Texas, let’s be extra careful. I know it’s been like this for months. People are starting to think this may not be as bad as it sounds. But This is not the time to be complacent. This is actually more dangerous than ever. Let’s keep up the good work that we have been doing.

Don’t go out when you don’t have to. Social distancing. Washing your hands and face. And wear face masks. Disinfect everything coming in the house. Let’s stay out of that dreadful statistics.

I heard a little while back that false negatives amounted to about 30% of the tests taken. How does one really expect to get on top of Covid with such a high percentage of wrong results.

Each suspected case was tested at least two times. And it is the rapid test kit that results in 30% false negatives. For the normal PCR test kit, most of them are 99% accurate. The western media portrayed that Chinese test kits are not effective but the reality is that all rapid test kit is 50%-70% accurate.

hi vesicles

Is it possible that cv19 will fade out just like SARS? I read that it is getting weaker and many infected over 80 is able to survive.

SARS didn't fade out but was contained. Spanish Flu was one virus that got faded out. All experts said that they simply don't know. I think our only hope is vaccine.

I'm not sure why the U.S. is still using those rapid test kits then.

If the PCR test kit production bottleneck is the problem then this is no time to be political and having pride in using only your own test kits when you can import millions of the PCR test kits from abroad. It's a shame when the U.S. admin political concern is seen as more important than fighting the pandemic and saving lives.
