A TLDR video on the rapid spiral out of control of the virus in Brazil.
I was interested in Brazil because of its hot climate, and the implications the rapid spread of COVID19 there has for the rest of the world largely hoping hotter summer weather will magically stop the virus in its tracks.
However, there is an especially interesting and illuminating segment in there from an interview with the former Brazilian health minister who was in charge at the time of the initial outbreak. Time stamp 6:30 start.
He said that initially they thought the virus would not be very contagious, partly due to Trump’s initial comments about how the US had this under control.
It wasn’t until they saw the numbers from Italy, Spain, the UK and the US that they started to take this virus seriously.
In that context, you can read between the lines and see why some racists in the west blame and hate on China’s initial handling of the virus - it wasn’t that China did a bad job, it was that China did too good of a job controlling the initial outbreak.
In their minds, the White west is automatically and categorically better than China by orders of magnitudes in every conceivable measurement by default.
When they saw China’s figures, they probably automatically assumed that China was just doing a really bad job, and divided the numbers by the 10 and assumed that was going to be the impact for them because of ‘democracy and freedom’.
It wasn’t until white democratic countries stared to suffer similar and worse numbers of infected and deaths than they started to realise the severity of the risk, but by then it was too late.
The racists simply are not mentally equipped to accept the possibility that China might be able to do just as well or even better than white democracies, hence the demand for conspiracy theories that would allow them to not have to face that mental barrier.
It is also pretty much self evident that a lot of the racist people who do not argue with facts and accept that China did an amazing job dealing with the virus still deeply resent China for how well it handled the virus. Because they became complacent due to China’s rapid ability to control over the outbreak, which in their perverted minds means it was China’s fault for ‘robbing’ them of precious time to act during the early phases. If only China had lost total control and suffered millions and infections and hundreds of thousands of deaths like China is ‘supposed to’ in such a situation, then they would have realised the dangers much quicker and maybe done more to limit the damage to themselves.

If Sherlock Holmes was a Chinese, he would be prosecuted in his every single case.
Why? He did too well analyzing the crime scene, so the crime was commited by this "suspicious cunning chinaman".
This is not a new vaccine. It is the one of the 5 undergoing human vaccine trial in China. The vaccine was developed by Beijing Institute of Biological Products, a company under CNBG (China National Biotec Group), the vaccine development subsidiary of SinoPharm. This vaccine has just completed Phase 2 human clinical trial (see my Post #6410 on May 30 in this thread).
I guess their paper on animal trial finally got published in the peer reviewed scientific journal Cell last Saturday. SCMP has an article about it today.
The other part of the SCMP news report quoted Zong Nanshan saying that "China could have a Covid-10 vaccine for use in emergencies as early as this autumn". Zhong’s estimate echoed the April comment by Gao Fu, head of the Chinese Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, that a vaccine will be ready for emergency use as early as this Fall, as well as Gao Fu's May comment that it was drafting guidelines to determine who would be eligible to receive the vaccine, when to take them, and what would constitute emergency use. Senator Rick Scott probably has been reading the headlines that China is ahead in the vaccine race. So he's already laying down excuses that China sabotaged the US because you know... the US is suppose to be number one in everything... Everything else they seem not to care about Coronavirus but when it comes to winning a race that's more important because their image is at stake.
