We have many lockdown releases in Germany, the usual life is coming back.
We also have a system in which the lockdown is maintained or reapplied in a district when significant infection numbers have occurred again within the last 7 days (Germany is divided into 16 federal states with a total of 401 districts).
And now there is a district with migrant workers for slaughterhouses, where, similar to Singapore, the virus could spread in the dormitories. Now all dormitories in the affected federal state are being checked, all migrant workers are being tested, and the relief from the lockdown has been suspended for the other residents in the affected district.
The slaughter industry all over Germany may even be inspected as a precaution. After that, living conditions in the dormitories of migrant workers would be better everywhere. And the meat price would go up. But I think that was necessary a long time anyway - even without Covid-19.
This is the new reality: be disciplined, keep your social distance, otherwise your district will fall back into the lockdown.
