Yes, the number sounds plausible. To date, the United States has tested approximately 7,500 people per 1 million population.

It's better to have a designated breed of 'meat dogs' than banning it completely.

Also before banning eating dogs, they should ban wearing fur first. Both are déclassé but dog meat at least have a long tradition and some cultural value. Wearing fur has nothing going for it.

I think eating dogs and cats should be banned blankly. However, I agree with you wholeheartedly that wearing real fur should be banned.

Not just real fur. In order for a ban on eating wildlife to be realistically enforceable, eating farmed wildlife must also be banned. Similarly in order for a real fur ban to be realistically enforcable, synthetic fur needs to also be banned. Otherwise how are police going to enforce the ban? They couldn't possibly ask everyone on streets wearing fur like stuff to take off their cloth and show the materials label.

Nice! I like those odds. Getting to a vaccine first is a huge chance for China's biotech sector to shine.

I'm guessing the most interesting around this weekend are going to be Michigan deaths: if they go up towards N. Y. or remain 'manageable'

"For years, it was common for viral diseases to be linked with the landscapes, places or regions where the first virus outbreak occurred – the Middle East respiratory syndrome and the Zika virus, which is named after a forest in Uganda, to name a few.

But in 2015, the World Health Organization (WHO) introduced guidelines to stop this practice and thereby reduce stigma and negative impacts. The guidelines also highlighted that when an outbreak happens, everyone will be at risk no matter who they are or where they come from."

Hence there is no excuse to continue pointing to countries where pandemic outbreak first started. Intentional use of such language today are irresponsible and malicious with ulterior motives. Just look around and see who are those that continue to do so.
The Spanish flu of 1918 is one of the deadliest pandemic in human history. Despite its name, it did not originated in Spain. As of today, its geographic origin is still cannot be determine with 100% certainty..

Here's a Chinese who don't believe in long tradition and some cultural value. He built a $ 500,000 doghouse for his pet dog.

These are mutations of the same virus, mutating several times

The Chinese virus is the original, every other exported from China, through different chains of infection.
How do you know for certain it's the original strain. If it was the original strain, it should mutated to at least 5 different strains , since it allegedly predated the U.S. ones. It takes time for mutations to occurred..
