This shows the danger of letting a little "local" politician on to the world stage! In any country, and Cech republic included, foreign affairs are left with the country's foreign ministry.
And the foreign policy of Cech republic towards China is the adherence of the "one China policy". One might not like it, but it is one's country's policy!
But this little mayor got out of his station and decided to play world politics, much to the embarrassment of his own president and foreign ministry! And in the process done irrepairable damage to his own country's reputation, economic development and goodwill! Way to go!
This is exactly what I was warning about on reasoning with Racists rednecks on Wolfie's post earlier. These racists is impossible to reason with. Be on your guards, people!

All this yearning for summer to put an end to covid19 is amusing to me. But I guess I am a nobody here despite my telling all that Singapore was one of the earliest place outside China to be hit despite temperature hovering around 30C
That was palmed away with "Oh! lots of aircond going on over there" like a new mantra to counter Singapore being constantly 30C + - 2 C.
Malaysia adjacent to Singapore is also 30C +- 2C and do not have much air cond and lots of folks there got hit by covid.
And numbers are rising and rising in Indonesia. And the same for Phillipine as well.
And as said, the covid 19 keeled over and die off when warmer than 20C, we shouldnot have any worries . Our body is a lot more than 20C and that virus will die the moment it contact with our body. But no one told the covid19 virus of the theory it must die in temp warmer than 20C
For that matter, not that much aircond going on in Singapore either.
