More ICU nurses won't help you if you do this:

They're doing their Mazu Pilgrimage right now.

It frustrates me how little the frog regime values human life.

Taiwans Median age is 5 years higher than Mainland average, the old suckers may have survived japanese occupation, but this time they arent that lucky

Maybe we should do a coffin service:

"Buy one, get two."

Then it will be difficult for the government to be confident that the healthcare system will not be overwhelmed with patients.

But at some point either because enough people has been boosted, economic reasoning or because the virus has become too stealthy there is a probability that they will adopt "Plan B": Make COVID data a State Secret (infections, deaths and everything related) and let the virus runs its course with some sensible restrictions. There is high probability someones unvaccinated dead parents will not even be part of the country statistics.

Inactivated vaccines are the safest vaccines there are, is proven old technology and according to the data I have been seen there are effective enough to reduce severe illness and death. What is needed right now is an Omicron specific inactivated vaccines to boost the population.

I would look at it this way

If China is to remove all restrictions like in the West, most of the population will be infected with the covid virus in due time.

If that's the case, why not "infect" the population with a form of the virus that has been attenuated and killed by whatever means, which is what vaccination with inactivated covid vaccines is all about.

An attenuated (killed) form of the virus will undoubtedly have fewer side effects than the real virus besides the fact that the former will have a zero (or negligible) chance of killing someone. In contrast, the latter has a significant chance of causing fatality if not hospitalizations and complications like long covid.

Well, it's the boomers that endured the hardships and made great sacrifices to help make and bring modern China to where it is today. The millenials, generation Z all have it relatively easy in comparison so we can shut the f.. K up with respect to whining about some of our elderly not enthusiastically embracing getting covid-19 vaccines. We have to be more than willing to understand and make sacrifices just as much as they did. Tell me, when was the last time yours and mine generation asked to sacrifice to the same degree and level of hardship the people have come before us made? Let's be mindful of our abundance, comfort, relative to the past.

For many people, it is because they care for the elders that they want them to get vaccines. China can test millions and millions everyday and they still have outbreaks. Like it or not, "living with the virus" is a reality, even if it is not Western-style.
If we cannot encourage/coerce (lol) parents and grandparents to get a safe vaccine, then do we just permanently social distance ourselves from them? How lonely would they become?

But the outbreak is manageable in China, while in the west it is a disaster and deadly. "Living with the virus" is just a western media excuse to cover up for their own government and medical system ineptness to deal with the virus effectively.

Living with the virus sounds easy, but I can tell you that from my experience, it slowed everything down. People are not coming into work because they are sick, and that drastically slowed down many of the services that we take for granted like car maintenance, government services from agencies like the DMV, and etc. Plus, long Covid is still being researched as we speak and who knows how many people actually got crippled by the virus. Finally we have no effective medicines that anybody can take to take on and eliminate Covid early. So, no, vaccinating the elderly won’t solve the issue nor do I foresee the Chinese giving up their lockdown policy.

With that said, in my opinion, the elderly seriously need to be encouraged to get the vaccine. Many tests were painstakingly done to help alleviate the fear that vaccine-hesitant people have. The vaccine would give them a better chance of staying alive.
