It looks like UK is solving covid-19. How come India's situation is improving?
UK is doing away with masks. So even if the covid number is down, old people and immunocompromised people would need to be extra careful.
Preprint on Circular RNA vaccine candidates for Covid19 variants. The abstract seems self contradictory on immunogenicity of the vaccine targeting the wild type, but the conclusion is only the delta vaccine is strong against both Omicron and Delta variants. I hope they do some follow up research on various cocktail combinations.
No sure if super conservative Chinese regulators will approve human trials for CircRNA vaccines until the West has finished their trials.

Do people still believe getting covid gives them immunity?
It does. Basically two shots + infection is about as good as two shots + booster shot. Given the data on immunogenicity of cocktails of early variants vaccines against Omicron, there are strong reasons to believe exposure to multiple early variants will boost immunity to future variants.
China needs to speed up trials of second gen broad spectrum vaccines and reduce required time lapse for booster shots. The ultra-conservativism of Chinese regulators at this juncture is simply mind-boggling.

Sorry, but immunity means you're immune. "Boosting immunity" is a weasel word that means you're not actually immune.
So many people have gotten covid multiple times, the whole immunity story is just a bedtime story for the credulous.
China needs new vaccines and even mRNA vaccines, as the number of people infected is very low.
