Zero covid strategy is much safer than a nonchalant "living with covid" one.
It's a strategy of calculated risk taking with relatively limited and quantifiable costs Vs. the other one letting the virus take over the wheel, wherever it may take, with attendant costs to the society and economy unquantifiable and unascertainable with any degree of confidence, basically a mix of grey rhino and black swan, with a long tail to boot.

We are offered to take the fourth jab with Pfizer. Our Prime Minister is very concern about the variant. He said he hopes everyone will come to Phnom Penh to take the Pfizer jab as there's not enough facility in provinces to store the Pfizer vaccine. It's not my turn yet since my third jab is only 3 and a half month away but I think I might get it early. Not sure, not decide yet.

@SteelBird bro, be patient don't rush prematurely and an advised from my doctor friend "Omicron lives in your nose and upper respiratory area, which is what make it contagious, it isn't able to bond with your lungs like the other more virulent variants so less fatal, it will become one of the common flu and other respiratory diseases, additional doses will not help and may weaken your resistance especially when inoculated by a Spike protein or mNRA type vaccine." The good news is that Delta variant (more virulent) is being displaced by Omicron and IF further mutation do occur may weakened the virus even more.

Now I believed that I had experience the effect of the Omicron (very painful especially when coughing) even though I was tested negative, My doctor friend tell me that it need a new testing regime cause the present one is inadequate especially for those people that are fully vaccinated. I question him the effectiveness of the vaccine and he replied with a smirk " You're here right and your lungs are intact what are you complaining for" I stand up give him the wine present and punch him in the arm ,then I say goodbye to his beautiful mistress nurse and left the room smiling.

This was a piece of ridiculously moronic circular reasoning bullshit where they took the Western excess deaths rates from covid and applied it to China’s population.

Although it is ironically a very useful figure, just not in the way the eternally proAmerican shrilling Economist rag wanted.

Because it gives us a decent baseline estimate for how bad the situation could have been had China been as thoroughly useless and incompetent in dealing with covid as the west.

Although I would say that had China not dealt with covid, the number of dead would likely have been much higher than estimated in this report since China does not have the same per capital medical spending or intensive care bed available as rich western nations. So many more people would have died due to lack of resources to keep them alive long enough to recover.

But then had that happened in China, western excess deaths would also have skyrocketed since they would not have gotten the massive amount of medical supplies that China was able to manufacture and export to them to help them deal with covid.

@Bellum_Romanum - I recall that you said Dr. Malone is not the person to claim as inventor or pioneer on mRNA vaccine (but the term used is leading scientist on the invention of the "mRNA delivery technique", a pioneering work that some other scientists worked further on top of this... continuation work etc). Nonetheless I suggest to read the SOTN article as well as the PDF to have bigger picture of the forest of issues.

@windsclouds2030 thanks for the info bro, I think with my experience IF okay with you guys I posted the stages that I've had gone thru

1) a slight fever
2) severe sore throat infection
3) nasal congestion
4) coughing that forces phlegm out (sign of recovery)

all happening within the last week

My family status report, me, my wife and my eldest daughter is at stage four, my son is on stage one, my auntie is going to stage one leaving my second daughter still unscratched. The infection is like a baton relay , so we know the pattern and learned what to do with it.
