How about reporting the number of breakthrough cases in UK that resulted in death. Only a moron would believe that AstraZeneca and Pfizer are 90% effective against Delta when there is a surge in cases from a few hundreds to 18000.

This is the same people who accuses China's Wuhan lab of deliberate outbreak. This on top of the sxxt eye testing drive for round trip of 50 miles to a castle with kids from the Prince of darkness Dominic Cummings. What a joke.

British Health Secretary Matt Hancock has been caught on video having a secret affair with his closest aide
He cheated on his wife with Gina Coladangelo, who he hired last year with taxpayers’ money, as Covid gripped Britain.
Whistleblowers revealed the Health Secretary had been spotted cheating on his wife of 15 years with married Ms Coladangelo.
He was seen kissing her at the Department of Health’s London HQ during office hours last month as the mutant strain began spreading.
Hancock apologised for his actions, saying: "I accept that I breached the social distancing guidance in these circumstances.
It was reported that Hancock told his wife he was leaving her on the night his affair was revealed.
Matt Hancock resigned from the cabinet last night!

This will be an inside job, the national health service (NHS) is revered here in the UK and Hancock is not deemed to be a safe pair of hands, the recent blow up after leaked messages saying he was useless didn't do the trick, and he stayed in position, so they upped the ante! The Conservatives are looking to make the health care system in the UK more market driven i.e. privatised and 'American' plenty of over my dead body types willing to stop them!

Although this particular allegation coming from China is a little preposterous, there is a distinct fear of China getting a hold of this kind of footage and information. A few years back the US government blocked the sale of grindr, a gay dating app to a Chinese company on the basis of national security… kind of ridiculous on the surface, but if you think about how self-righteous the average politician is, then you see how a gay scandal could be extremely compromising,

This article made me think of what a reopening would look like for China, in say 2023.

The world is going to reach a point where borders are reopened. Every country will have COVID. In that world, a 14 or 21-day quarantine to enter China would badly damage its international competitiveness - especially exports.

By then, China will have vaccinated 100% of the population. If it reopens borders and ends the quarantine, COVID will inevitably enter. In a herd immune population, COVID will not spread rapidly or kill massively. From Serrana, we know that Chinese vaccines stop 95% of deaths upon reaching herd immunity. However, there will be vaccine breakthroughs and deaths, thousands or even tens of thousands.

Additionally, there is the risk of the vaccines losing effectiveness over time. China and the world may need to do regular vaccine updates. But I am confident China has the ability to do that.

What are the thoughts of everybody else on reopening?
A discussion about that is off topic since it heavily involves economics. You might wanna take that to the economics thread.

These western MSM are going full-on propaganda against Chinese vaccines.

These media always hide the details deep in the article. The actual numbers in the article are showing Sinovac vaccine in a much better light.

90% of 160000 doctors fully vaccinated = 144000
10% of 160000 doctors unvaccinated = 16000

Effective rate = (16/16000)-(10/144000)/(16/16000) = 93%

Interesting. My experience not only includes the people you mentioned but also includes relatively recent Chinese immigrants. As a matter of fact, the hanjians who spread their bs on Weibo and Wechat mainly consist of those people. That is why I mentioned the green card status symbol. These same people spread fake news about Covid being manufactured by the CPC and anti vaccine information like a fire in California’s forests. Plus they are born in the 60’s and 70’s, so they most likely taught the second and third gen’s their perspectives of the CPC and the West. So I would argue that the anti China crowd consists of the people you mentioned AND the older gen’s, along with the people I mentioned above.
These "Chinese" can be from mainland China, Hongkong and Taiwan. The last two groups are in general negative about China more than Westerners in general.

The mainlanders born in the 60 and 70's are the interesting group. They grew up in the time when "against everything in the past" was the fashion, the group whose family suffered in the cultural revolution, the group who was active in the demonstrations in 1989. So you would not expect them to be loving China after moving out of China therefor not enjoying anything good about China today.

Besides, there are lots of mainlanders in the wave of illegal immigrant in the early 2000s. These group have to declare being "abused" by PRC to enter and stay in the US. You can't expect them to be loving China. Especially the FLG people. Once again they are the generation born before 1970s.

For the rest in these age group who do not bare "hate and anger" above, some of them will gradually change their speaking to comply with the western mainstream, in order to be accepted by their western friends, especially after they switched citizenship. I have seen such changes in two of my close friends.

The cutoff generation line is (born in) 1980s.

Most illegal immigrants who joined FLG or claimed religious prosecution only temporarily. These people usually don't actively engage in political discussions. And since most of them still have strong bond with China, they don't usually become fiercely anti-China. They usually work long hours and don't have time to talk BS. But a small group of them became brainwashed either with Christianity or FLG, then they become very anti-China.

Those elites who tried to be accepted by the Western mainstream especially after they switched citizenship do tend to be more vocal about their grievances with the CCP. More over, if their friends in China are doing better than they are, then they usually are more bitter. I would say these people make up much more in Weibo and Wechat.

Another group of Chinese students tend to be pro-Trump due to their disdain of the left but not all of them are anti-China. Second and third generation Chinese usually are anti-China but not dead hard ones. Chinese Christians are probably the most anti-China especially lately due to the conservative movement.

"Became ill" would also means that they got sick as a result of the side-effect or reaction to the vaccine post-vaccination. Hence statements such as "it's not that the vaccine killed them" is incorrect as you do not know exactly what killed them. It could be a result of the vaccine or it could be the CoVID or even both.
That's part of the 61% of vaccine-related deaths. For vaccine side-effect related deaths, 29% died within 48 hrs, 16% within 24 hrs, and 22% died post-48 hours. 29+16+22= 61% vaccine side effects related death. The remaining 39% died from illness or infection within 48 hrs post vaccination.

It would be classified as part of vaccine-relates side effect death if confirmed due to vaccine related side-effect (61% of deaths)
