That’s what’s clever about Fauci. Notice how he never states directly that COVID was the result of lab leak. He just states that “we shouldn’t discount the possibility”. This allows him and Biden to get away with crazy conspiracy headlines but enough deniability even without real evidence.
Technically we can’t discount the possibility that COVID was made by space aliens, but obviously that doesn’t serve the US agenda for now.
Yep. We obviously cannot discount the possibility that the sun could explode tommorow but you wont see anyone talking about it wouldnt you?
We also cant discount that covid-19 was an alien weapon

Thats a lot of "or" but you wont see Fauci talking about them. Why not though?

This is such a widely used trick in our professional life nowadays. In every field, no matter how much of an expert you are, there are always those loaded questions that can put you on the spot with burden of proof. We usually call this as "gotcha" type of questions. How can you prove that you are NOT the one started this? Until everybody knows there was someone else that actually did that?
A scientist is not alone in a society. So when he takes part in a public forum he must moderate his speech and appeal to the public's intelligence.
Many many many things are possible but they also have a different chance of which one is more probable to be the truth
So when Fauci takes a public interview he should say that there are many possibilities but he should also stress how likely they are to be the true cause of covid
E.g ideally he should say "there are many possibilities about how covid-19 was created, but I want to say that there is an extremely high chance that it was developed naturally." and stop right there. No need to say anything else
"We will of course continue to investigate all possible causes but our current assessment is that Covid-19 was extremely likely developed naturally"
You can see they are now changing the narrative. There is now a variety of people in the US who came out in unision, including professionals like Dr. Fauci promoting again the lab produced theory.

The US is not gonna get away by doubling down on this Wuhan biolab conspiracy theory. It's only gonna add more fuel into China's own counter conspiracy theory of the US and Fort Detrick. I'm glad that this is happening.
I wonder what findings could the US intelligence make in 90 days? Perhaps it'll look more like Iraqi WMD style BS.
Then let's see what findings the Chinese side can produce. It'll be interesting if China could investigate the activities of the US military personnel who participated in the 2019 Wuhan Military Games. After all, Zhao Lijian brought up that conspiracy theory last year. If something suspicious comes up, things could get really interesting.

Facebook should have never changed their policy, and they should have continued deleting all these Covid conspiracy theories.
Those Indians running Fakebook, they do not understand American history.
American history is full of conspiracy. Who shot Lincoln? Who shot Kennedy? Who was behind the anthrax attacks? Did they really catch the Unabomber?
Once those Indians would allow conspiracy on Fakebook, they are opening a can of worms.
That Fort Derick story, is a real good conspiracy theory. Far better theory than the Wuhan lab leak.
The Fort Derick story is straight out of the X-Flies. That is a real conspiracy. The Chinese? No one wants to listen to a CCP story in America. You kidding? Let Agent Mulder, Scully, and Agent Chang do their investigation. Now that is a story.
Conspiracy theories are stories, and everyone loves a good story.
Faceless, colourless, CCP officials are not the ideal protagonist in a story.

The CCP hasn't caught on to the western style of investigating an issue or good propaganda methodology:
1. Set up a serious sounding "investigative" commission
2. "Investigate yourself".
3. Have people ask safe question, have witness respond with safe answer in a public forum or say everything is classfied
4. Act like real work is being done. Make a lot of random noise that makes it sounds like serous work is being done and people in the gov is considering it "might" be a leak.
5. After 3 years when everyone has moved on , announce the results as "Good, no leak" or "inconclusive, not enough evidence"
