Preventing the flow of people to and fro an infected area is a form of quarantine. And do you know how much foreign airliners also suffered in losses when they stopped flights to China on their government's orders ?
It's ironic that you describe CCP's quarantine efforts and city lockdowns as "draconian" but necessary, and at the same time pooh pooh equally extreme methods taken by other nations.

Listing the methods that other nations take to prevent the spread of the virus even if it costs them does not make me liar. And why would Australia need to resort to city wide lockdowns and quarantines when the most effective way is to prevent it from entering the country in the first place ? It's costly and damaging act to be taken only in the most extreme of cases.

My problem with you is you seem to think undisclosed nations are to be commended for efforts in containing the virus simply because they stopped direct flights from China. This is idiotic. Too much JAV has disrupted your thinking lol.

Now what I'm saying is, banning flights is easy and minimal efforts compared to what China has been doing. The economic losses in those countries are minimal compared to economic losses suffered by China. AGAIN I think I need to emphasize that I do not think those nations should be doing anything more or less. There is ZERO judgement from me except for in your imagination.

China actively prevented its own citizens from traveling abroad BEFORE USA and Australia banned flights and most other banned nations. China even heavily regulated the movement of people within the same cities let alone between cities. Therefore by applying some thinking (difficult I know!) the effort and the result came BEFORE other countries stopped flights. The stopping of flights only supplements the quarantine being done within China. The majority of the effort and attribution of the relatively limited global spread mostly goes towards the draconian levels of quarantine inside China.
