Ridiculous logic. If we follow that crap, Trump, Modi, Bolsonaro, Tsai and others of their ilk should be drawn and quartered 1st. Don't talk about lab leak as a thing that only China can be guilty of! The US itself is responsible for numerous accidental and intentional release of pathogens, toxins, and even human experimentation. By your logic then, the US govt would have already been overthrown, and the US citizens, treated as pariahs. Stupid logic works both ways.

In China there's no GP, for any illness you either tough it out yourself or you go to hospital. Lots of people don't even bother going to their local small hospital but insists on going to the biggest 3A hospital for sniffle. This isn't necessarily a good thing for your medical system but in this case it proved to be an advantage - China has an repository illness early warning system put in place after SARS where samples are collected across the country and screened at random to make sure no novel disease came up. COVID-19 was picked up pretty early by the system and flagged as "SARS-like" and case for concern. This warning started to filter down the chain of command and this is the original source of Li Wenliang's warning to his friends that SARS is back.
After the initial outbreak various institutions went back into the sample pool of the early warning system to see how far back they could find cases of COVID-19. I believe the earliest case found was in November, there are zero positive samples before then. Cases in December were quite rare.

All those leaders above are responsible for the vast majority of the deaths and destructions by Covid-19. They've allowed the virus to become as big as it is right now.
If you are so convinced that China lied and cover up. Why then did you not assign responsibility to those leaders for not believing China 1st, and take the virus far more serously? Test, trace, treat, and buildup treatment capacity. Those recommendations were not written by China alone. It was written by CDC and WHO specialists around the world. Those leaders had the chance to prove to China and the world that democratic governments are superior at fighting Covid-19! But alas here we are. Coming on 2 years in the pandemic. New strains going around. Vaccination efforts slowed down by politics. Its a failure of the free world!
We don't need to debate how China handled the Covid-19. The evidence is all for us to see. The US could have ended the pandemic at less than 100k cases and less than 5k deaths if Trump had been serious about it. Modi could have averted the disaster in India if he was serious about the virus instead of just thinking about Jai Hind. Stop sleeping, and wake up already!

The CPC as I have mentioned aren't angels but I'll be da..ned if I will play along with the western machinations and interest with the motherland by supporting the downfall of the one party and entity responsible for the unification of the country and the current economic success unprecedented in the history of China and frankly in the history of the world.
