The sad fact about the Covid-19 origin tracing is that we will probably never find out its true origins. Because it has been way too damned politicised. Scientists can publish their findings, but some powerful politicians can put so much pressure, that they 'cannot rule out' the conspiracy theories.
I have my own personal biased opinion on that matter. But let's disregard all that conspiracy theory and say that it came about naturally. That's the most likely theory anyway. The free world will jump back again on their theory #1: Evil Chinese people eat bats or wildlife. In the eyes of the free world, China is never gonna be innocent. At the end of the day, this is plain old blame game. Typical trick by incompetent, hateful governments or societies.
It is very fortunate that China is one of the world's strongest military powers. What angers me is that imagine if China is militarily weak. The free world would be demanding for compensation for their own failures. The US and friends have a track record of going to war over conspiracy theories and outright lies. India had already sent troops to attempt landgrabbing from China on the mistaken belief that China was weakened by Covid-19.
My point is that, true justice never exists in the 'free world'. China can try to defend its image, and try to uphold truths and facts. But the only thing that truly keeps the hyenas away is that powerful military. That is why that military buildup is necessary, now more than ever. Is this the best scenario? No. But its a sad reality that we live in today.
