Walvax is working with the Academy of Military Science (AMS) and Suzhou Abogen Biosciences to jointly develop the shot known as ARCoV or ARCoVax, China's first mRNA vaccine to enter Phase III trials.

The shot could be stored at 2-8 degrees Celsius for six months, a much less stringent temperature requirement than shots from western rivals, an AMS researcher leading the vaccine project said in April during a presentation at a vaccine event.

First thing worth to mention:
  • Walvax is the producer.
  • AMS is the researcher
  • Abogen Bio is the one providing the technique to produce. The Lipid Nano Particle (LNP).
In case of Pfizer/BioNTech combo:
  • Pfizer is the producer = Walvax.
  • BioNTech holds patent of LNP = Abogen
  • BioNTech has been researching mRNA = AMS
So now we know:
  • Why Trump wanted to buy up BioNTech out right in early 2020.
  • Why Biden "offered" to waive patent. (Because US has none, he is just screwing the Germans)
Second and most important thing is the 2-8 degrees storage for 6 months. That is huge. This is the death sentence to Pfizer and Moderna, at least outside of Europe and North America.

Depends on how one defines "proper".

From a scientific perspective, the proper way is like what SinoVac did in Brazil having a third party to do the trial.
From a political smearing perspective, the proper way is to do it by the producer in a testing setup convenient to them.

The two does not share any commonality. If you want to avoid the smearing campaign like SinoVac faced, just don't do anything. Even if you do it "properly", meaning domestically like Pfizer, you will get smeared as "favorable setup therefor fake". The conclusion is "don't give any credit to the western propaganda".

Researchers exposed the variant known as B.1.617.1 to blood serum samples from 15 volunteers with antibodies induced by the Moderna vaccine, 10 volunteers with antibodies after receiving the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine, and 24 people with antibodies after recovering from COVID-19. In a paper published on Monday on bioRxiv ahead of peer review, the research team found the India variant to be 6.8-fold more resistant to antibody neutralization in an all three groups. "Despite this, a majority of the sera from convalescent individuals and all sera from vaccinated individuals were still able to neutralize the B.1.617.1 variant,"

Not accepted by WHO's COVAX yet, but its acceptance is probably a foregone conclusion at this point:
Indonesia tracked 128,290 health workers in capital city Jakarta from January to March and found that the vaccine protected 98% of them from death and 96% from hospitalization as soon as seven days after the second dose, Pandji Dhewantara, a Health Ministry official who oversaw the study, said in a Wednesday press conference.

Dhewantara also said that 94% of the workers had been protected against symptomatic infection -- an extraordinary result that goes beyond what was measured in the shot’s numerous clinical trials. Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin earlier revealed a smaller version of the study involving 25,374 people in a Tuesday interview with Bloomberg that had the same effectiveness data for hospitalization and infection. Protection against death was 100% in the smaller group.
