Indian coronavirus variant found in COVID-19 cases linked to Hanoi-based hospital​

Seven COVID-19 patients linked to the Hanoi-based National Hospital for Tropical Diseases’ cluster are infected with the variant of coronavirus first reported in India.

The National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology on May 11 announced the results of the genetic sequencing for eight samples taken from COVID-19 patients submitted by four northern provinces – two from Vinh Phuc, two from Bac Ninh, two from Lang Son, and one from Nam Dinh – and the Indian strain showed up in seven.

The variant B1.617, which the World Health Organization (WHO) classified on May10 as a “variant of concern,” has demonstrated higher spreading capabilities among humans, according to some preliminary studies

Sinovac CEO Yin Weidong stated that they have given a license to Indonesia, Brazil, Malaysia and Egypt, along with Turkey, to produce the vaccine in their countries.

Speaking to Bloomberg, Yin stated that they provided enough vaccines to Brazil, Indonesia and Turkey to vaccinate 20 percent of the population, but this was insufficient.

According to the information given by Sadıkin, the vaccine prevented 100 percent loss of life among the monitored group and provided 96 percent protection against hospitalizations.

I just heard on Bloomberg a commentator saying the result really has to be taken with pinch of salt and adding it would still be a good result if it turns out to be 75%. Can't handle the truth?

It’s kinda funny, the more America pushes the COVID bio-weapon angle, the more I actually think there might be something to it - only it wasn’t a Chinese bio-weapon, but an American one, and all this is to force China to deny it so when evidence does come out that it’s a bio-weapon, people will either dismiss it if they believe China or think it’s a Chinese bio-weapon if they believe America.

The timing and location of the initial outbreak was basically the worst case possible for China, being just before the annual lunar new year mass travel holidays, and happening at a central transportation super hub, with the added benefit of having limited (compared to pretty much every eastern seaboard cities) international transport connections.

If one was looking to deliberately release a bioweapon against China covertly, it’s hard to think of a better time and target.

Had China displayed even western levels of competence (which was impossible according to all western experts before the pandemic), it would have spread uncontrollably throughout China and China would have looked a lot of India today (minus all the cow dung BS), with the west actively pushing for and funding regime change, insurrection in HK, a formal Declaration of Independence by Taiwan and an invasion by India to the west looking to annex Tibet, Xinjiang and pretty much everything else they can reach.

It all looks suspiciously like a co-ordinated plan to deliver a death blow to modern China, and Trump is most certainly crazy and cruel enough to be all over such a plan.

China did not help itself by pushing its own theory that the virus came through cold chain produce. It was a remote possibility, but also a flimsy theory. It doesn't explain why the virus was concentrated in Wuhan and Hubei province.

But the way the US keeps pushing this bioweapon theory. The way they do it is getting more and more elaborate. For example, the ex-CDC director Robert Redfield says that the virus has been 'enhanced'. That he 'knows things' happening in WIV that we don't. Then this 'Dr Li' figure says that this virus program started 5-6 years ago. This virus was tested on the local community, but then it got out of hand. Then this virus was released to the enemy. Why does the US know so much? Sounds to me like a murderer accusing someone of his crime but at the same time, enjoys describing the details his crime.

Trump pulled the US out of WHO when they didn't agree with this theory. Later, Biden put the US back in the WHO. I thought that after Biden took over from Trump, that this ridiculous conspiracy theory would die off. But no, it not only persisted, it got even worse. Now we have US officials putting enough pressure on WHO to get them to not dismiss this Wuhan lab theory. China allowed the WHO access to everywhere they wanted in Wuhan including the WIV. But the whole investigation was slammed by the US and friends. Dr Peter Daszak, one of the leading investigators was discredited because he was too close to the people in the WIV. The US is trying too hard to convince everyone that something terrible had happened at the WIV. Something smells very fishy and dangerous when the US goes to such lengths to keep a ridiculous theory alive.

Maybe in the decades ahead we might get declassified information to the origins of the Covid-19 pandemic. Or maybe we'll never know.

China should start taking these virus origin investigations much more seriously. Whether by nature or not, nasty viruses have a habit of appearing every 5-6 years since 2000. In 2003 it was SARS. In 2009 it was H1N1. Then in 2015, MERS came along. Finally Covid-19 came at the end of 2019, and goes pandemic in 2020. I'm concerned of what else might appear by 2025-2026.

Superpower India 2020? India still can't drag themselves out from the dark ages. Generally I dont like picking holes in other people's culture and customs. But really, smearing yourselves with cow dung is a protection from covid, Reaĺly?
