Woah. I wouldn't go that far to condemn TCM as fake. I grew up on Western medicine. I've never believed in TCM until I reached adulthood. Western medicine is and always is my go to treatment. Until there was a time when it couldn't fix one of my ailments. Out of options, I took a chance with TCM and it worked. There was no placebo effect, I can swear on that.

TCM can not be explained by Western medicine. But its healing effects are real. Nevertheless, TCM is no substitute for Western medicine. They are a complimentary. Even Chinese doctors said so. Western medicine treats the immediate symptoms best. While TCM treats the underlying problems best. TCM cannot substitute treatments like surgery, chemo, or O2, it is meant to compliment them. Chinese doctors know when to apply Western medicine or TCM as needed.

Hence I would not pass outright negative judgements on other traditional medicines, even Ayurvedic. They all have their own history and merits. No doubt they all have their own quacks who shame their decipline. Ayurveda had the cow urine scam. TCM had the mercury pill scam. And Western medicine the had the Snake Oil scam. Steer away from the scammers. You can only trust the valid and reputable practitioners from each respective medicines. They know what they are doing.

I'll just add that Europe had its herbal medicine industry right up to the early 20th century when it was destroyed by practioners of "modern medicine", especially big pharma.

For the past decade, herbal remedies in TCM are being verified by chemical analyses. What are ancestors discovered via trial & error and/or via other insights, is now backed up and confirmed by modern chemical analyses.

Yep. I wouldnt call TCM fake. Herbal medicine has long been the only medicine that the humans in the past used to cured diseases.

I would like to see more scientific studies to see what ingedients are responsible for these medicines so that we can advance a pure science-based approach for medical care.

Ideally we would want something to be 100% studied and scientifically explained before using it as a medicine but obviously our current capabilities are lacking which is why there is still TCM.

Labs should be set up in order to research every herbal medicine down to the very small detail so that we can advance our scientific knowledge

There are massive volumes of research and chemical analyses already done on TCM.

The bigger issue of TCM is not using science to verify it, rather its unlicensed practioners. Find someone licensed and experienced, and you can be sure the TCM remedies work just as good if not better than western medicine for the fact that western medicine consists of synthetic chemical compounds which your body cannot properly breakdown/digest, this means side effects, and these synthetic chemicals form residues in one's body, which over time accumulates and turns into cancer.

Herbal TCM rememdies, being plant based, are broken down/digested much easier.

Sorry for going off on a tangent.
