Gotta disagree with you there pal; TCM has been proven to be an effective adjunct therapy when treating COVID patients; hell, part of the lower mortality rates in China and taiwan is because of the use of TCM alongside allopathic interventions.
The above was what the Chinese health authorities came out with at the time in early 2020; clearly, TCM was used as both a preventative and rehab; in fact TCM is actively used in both taiwan and China today.
EDIT: The lesson of COVID isn't that one health system is superior over the other; it's that evidence based medicine still matters and it was clear that China practice evidence based medicine whilst the west practiced western chauvinism in lieu of science.
You see this western chauvinism in their insistence of penalising asian students who score well and barring them from medical schools in favour of individuals who have darker shades of skin and white females.
You tell me, which side is more politicised when it comes to science?
Only one nation harbours a demographic that still believes the earth is 4000 years old and rejects evolution.

Agreed. You see this stuff in India in form of Ayurveda. Nothing but voodoo science. Trad medicines do help tackling stuff like common cold, fever etc but not complex diseases.

There's no drinking of cow urine in TCM, and animal parts are strictly controlled and monitored under CITES; any animal parts used tend to be from 'renewable' sources eg rhino horn replaced by buffalo horn.
Secondly, TCM practitioners in China ie doctors in China use both TCM and modern medicine; you don't have a religious dedication to it, it's not a religion the way it is for the cow urine drinkers in India.

The point is despite 100+ million vaccine doses in the 90 day rolling window the death rate is still nearer 1000 a day than 500 day in the US and relatively flat, the belief that things can quickly return to how things were in mid 2019 across the world, may well be a mirage given the vaccination rates are far lower in the rest of the world. There's a longer road ahead than any elected politician would like people to be cognisant of!

Yes the truth hurts.
Perhaps for contingency purpose only during desperate times if proven safe to administer. We are now pass this stage and any decision should be base on safety and evidence on efficacy. At this stage, it should not hinder efforts to obtain proper vaccine.
