Any news on China's mRNA vaccines? They need these to achieve more immunity.

The vaccine – which uses the same advanced revolutionary techniques as the drugs developed by Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna – is at the end of phase 2 human trials and will start large-scale phase 3 trials next month

Phase 3 trials to start overseas in May. Lets hope that they learn this time to manage the trials so that they dont get slandered like Sinovac

I think Eric is doing just fine speaking for China in his current role, though I'm perplexed why there doesn't seem to be any video of him debating democracy in the post-COVID era.

Anyway, I think people need to stop ragging on Chinese public broadcasters and officials for "bad PR". Public institutions have duties and responsibilities. Gao Fu, as the head of the Chinese CDC, has the responsibility to speak as a scientist. I am not the least bit surprised his words were twisted by Western media, as science is always full of nuances. Look at how often climate change deniers manipulate the words of climate scientists.

China's hope of winning the PR war against the West doesn't lie in state-run media institutions like CGTN or Global Times. It lies in privately operated organizations like Guancha (of which Eric Li is a co-founder). We need more such institutions to deliver logical, persuasive arguments that advances China's positions, and we need more personal advocates such as 磊哥 to advance those positions on an emotional level.

This video is his most recent and it did talk about the Covid-19 to some extent if my memory serves me right. The lady in blue here is your typical hot air western pseudo intellectual

I am not one of the people who nags on the Chinese government wanting to fight P.R. with P.R. i.e. lying against the west. I only suggested Eric Li's name if we were to entertain such thought or idea that's all for WWE style take down lol that's all.

If a country with 80 million inhabitants like Germany discontinues the AstraZeneca and J & J vaccines, it will save maybe 100 people from a fatal thrombosis. But 10,000 more die from Covid-19.

Yeah, I saw this video last year, though perhaps not from this link. Unfortunately, this one is still pretty fresh into the pandemic, somewhere around June/July 2020 I believe?

It is a complex matter. the issue is that the risk of dying from the vaccine is higher from dying from Covid on younger ages lol.

Thats why they have this dilemma now. Fortunately, China dodged this bullet

Considering how confident and emboldened Eric was on this video due to the largely successful containment control of the pandemic in China vs what was happening and still is happening in much of the western developed world led by the U.S. I didn't think many westerners are going to be excited or enthused on having him on many of these self congratulatory and U.S. Good-China bad forums.

In an extreme situation like today, I can agree. By the same token, the west MSM would have no business of whining about "low" efficacy of Chinese vaccines. It is proven that those jabs are among the safest, if not most effective. Heck, even a safe but 30% efficacy vaccine would be a huge life saver.

is there any official data on the effectiveness of Pfizer/Moderna/Oxford/J&J from Brazil?
Given the mutant variant there, you gotta compare the apples with apples for the true picture.
it would be kind of funny/karma that we end up having to mix mRNA with the dead virus vaccines in order to overcome this, forcing everyone back onto the table together...
