COMAC C919

Aside from all this retaliation talk, I think the key focus is to develop COMAC into a mature line of airliners, C919, C929 and what not. That way you wouldn't have to impose sanctions on Boeing or Airbus. A strong and powerful COMAC would in fact mean Boeing and Airbus are OUT OF the Chinese market. Those two would be shut out of the Chinese market as its clear Chinese airlines would fly COMAC airliners to support Chinese industry. And having Boeing and Airbus completely out of China is going to change the game a big deal. You wouldn't even have to retaliate, just through *fair and proper* competition alone you could crush the previous Big Two.

For all the flak ARJ21 is getting, I think it's a beautiful plane, and despite the heavier load the noisy but powerful engines are a fit for serving the high altitude western China region. It may have been slow, but they got the right fit, and that's what matters.

I can't wait to fly a COMAC C939 from Nairobi to Lagos years from now. Big Three airline makers ABC, thank you.

America and Eu are brothers. China cannot trust anyone. Currently, China needs many planes, so there is no other option. Buying aircraft from the US and the EU will end as the Comac matures and can replace Airbus and Boeing

Take you political drama out of here.

ARJ21, a no hassle design that's getting the job done. Hope that he will get more sale. The 919 is so nice looking and an up to date design, it deserve top of the line engines !

@j17wang @FangYuan @Peter2018

Could you three, for the love of God, take your political twaddle, agitprop claptrap, and flamebating balderdash somewhere else?

@Deino, could you put a stop to this please? This thread is being overrun. The quality of our flagship forums sinks daily and quickly below that of old, and soon there won't be much left to salvage if this prepubescent nonsense isn't scrubbed away and offenders dealt with according to our forum rules.

COMAC ARJ21 and C919 use GE engines.
It is a good thing Trump is on the way out.
In 4 years time hopefully Chinese engine for C919 will be ready.
