Electricity generation from renewable energy:
When you get to huge countries like China or India nuclear won't scale to a large fraction of power generation without fast reactor technology. Otherwise you run into uranium fuel resource limitations.
China is already building two CFR-600 fast reactors which should be operational soon if not already. But the technology needs to be improved and scaled up. Russia is supposedly going to build its BN-1200M reactor soon. Russia also has the BREST-OD-300 under construction.
This is something for the 2030s at best.
PowerChina with the world's largest ever BESS project of 1GW/6GWh. These projects will become more and more common as renewable % continue to increase.
