Nuclear power in China is steaming ahead
most important part to watch is this.
Hualong-1 reactor is operating well. 2 plants are connected and 10 more under construction (with 2 more likely to get connected this year)
With all that excessive renewable energy in Western provinces, it makes a lot of sensor to generate green hydrogen from that. I would also think Gansu and Qinghai would be other candidates for green hydrogen
In general, it makes sense to put solar panels in places like Gobi desert.
They need a lot more of these plants since China is currently producing 33 million t of hydrogen fuel every year and this plant only produces 500k t a year.
Although according to this, China was at 24 million t in 2020. That is far away the most in the world.

Another fuel cell going forward is Ammonia. @FairAndUnbiased has mentioned this before. China really dominates this field

Seems like in general, ammonia and methanol production from green energy is still in nascent stage, but it will have to happen in the future, since there are still many industrial and farming products that cannot be replaced by electricity.
