A few weeks ago, I read a report that Pakistan's bottom-up solar revolution had led to a significant drop in the operating hours of state-owned power plants, actually resulting in losses for the Pakistani government and the Chinese state-owned enterprises providing support. However, this is their problem; after all, their residential electricity prices are too high, forcing people to buy solar panels.Useful non-Chinese example of the resilience conferred by switching over to renewables.
From a national perspective, at least in these special times, there won't be that frequent power outages caused by high fuel prices seen in the past.
