I haven't bought a console since Play Station 2. I was ready to buy one of the new ones coming out later this year until I heard about all the restrictions on the Xbox One. Not sure I want those restrictions on me especially since I'm not into multiplayer that much. So why would I want to have a system that has to be connected to the internet all the time or else you can't play anything.

Titan Fall looks fun.

Anybody playing/has played Wargame : European Escalation and/or Wargame : AirLand Battle ?

Well I am not pure about the NSA but this solves one of the biggest gripes. Particularly for Troops. Gaming systems are popular entertainment for American troops deployed or not and the Army Navy Marine Corps Air Force ration internet access for security. So having a always on window like that was going to cause problems their and more so when their early reaction to troops no that issue was just play your old dated system.

Personally, running an i5 3570K + 16GB RAM + GTX670 setup, if upgrade is required mostly mean change of graphic card (though I don't think the COD:G and BF4 would be so demanding that'd require an i7 + GTX780, hopefully not), my prima delta concern at this time is how much I can get out of COH2 with this setup.

Good for you, i7...trump you on the graphic card department though.

Now, the COH2 open beta led me to believe I've to scale back on the settings - by current rig won't get an average FPS beyond 26 if on max.

I could never get used to the controls of game consoles. If they gave an option to plug a mouse and keyboard to the consoles and configure them like you could with a PC, I would switch in a heartbeat. After endless hours wasted trouble shooting and debugging PC games and far too much money wasted on them, the prospect of hassle free plug and play and the ability to both rent and resell used games are very appealing.

But the fiddly controls would just get in the way too much of my immersion and enjoyment of games.

Seriously, how hard can it be to implement mouse and keyboard control on a console?

Anyone else anxiously awaiting Battlefield 4 this fall? This time not only PC gamers but console gamers as well will get 64-player multiplayer maps. Destructible environments. Boats that can really hit back. Commander mode is back and can be played on tablets. I haven't been so excited for a game since BF2. I think BF2, and I expect BF4, are the best multiplayer shooter games which strike a good balance between fun and realism.

Seems a bit soon for a new release, but yeah its good to see all the features that made me love BF2 make a comeback, i don't know i think i'll wait for the reviews before i make a final decision.
