this is very interesting from DeepInfar, AKA the underwater DJI.
These power modules, can power AUVs or gliders at Ocean floor pretty much. That would make UUVs very hard to detect.
EuroAtlas is proposing something similar for their Greyshark UUV. However, service interest is very limited, from what I am told. They are far more interested in the fuel cell variant which carries more power/storage onboard.
btw, this is just the thruster. You can theoretically have fuel cell generate electricity to power something like this. Doesn't have to be all battery powered.
Deepinfar has developed new UUV for inspecting submarine cables at depths of up to 300 meters. Looks like it can autonomously fix breakage. Can work for 5 to 7 hours at a time. This would integrate cameras and sonar and EM sensors all in one.

after it came out with the thrusters, now it has the new generation ROV called Otter which uses 4 horizontal and three vertical thrusters.
