What's the context here? These look more like those light show drones.

It's a screen capture from a the evening news broadcast on CCTV (新闻联播), but I have not yet been able to locate the clip. However, the original Weibo poster, who is reliable, describes the image as "我军的无人机蜂群", or "our military's drone swarm".

The image is similar to a previous image of a drone swarm at a military exercise by the 73rd Group Army (see below). This latest image might even be from the same footage.

Drone swarms have also been used previously for air defense training. I think the PLA might be using swarms of (presumably) cheap quads to develop and evaluate tactics against drone swarms.

I figured PLAAF has more suitable UCAVs for the A2A mission profile than the GJ-11.

If they did, it wouldn't be revealed until well into service. GJ-11 being a stealth platform isn't unsuitable for air to air either. It's only real downside in this is the subsonic speed. But with stealth and CEC, it's still a massive advantage to have a few dozen GJ-11 flying far ahead of J-20s to launch medium range missiles well within NEZ at any large frontline force.
