Well patchwork was a great source, but we chased him away.

The role of wz8 is pretty obvious. It's to go really quickly, find and confirm the location or an aircraft carrier group. I mean it's pretty unique. Can fly over mach 3 and is vlo. It's about one of the hardest things to pick up and shoot down.

Yes.

Matter of fact, there is very little credible PLA analysis in the entire Youtube space. Perhaps with the sole exception of H. I. Sutton.

HI Sutton is fair for looking at navies and submarines of other nations and his PLA watching competency is okay, but it is fair to say that there are no content creators on YouTube whose credibility on PLA matters can be posted here without question.

One thing the guy said in the video was that WZ8 could be made to have a large radar signature and draw out the emission of carrier radar, then transmit this to a follow on missiles to allow for a more robust kill chain. It sounds plausible.

i just saw this video about WZ8

what he basically is saying, the drone's max speed should be around M2.85 instead of hypersonic, judging from the airframes geometry. It is probably not a recon drone but rather a decoy to allure USN CSG to turn on its radar.

what you guys think?

That Polish plumber wearing that stupid wig is not a quality source. He's a dumbass, for a lack of a more elegant word.

In fact, please refrain from sharing content produced by Youtube commentators entirely, because there is practically no good analyses to be found on Youtube.

More high-resolution images of the Venus-50 solar-powered UAV.

This thing looks fragile. Why did not they go with a multi-plane wing design which could provide enough room for the solar power cells at the same time being more rigid structurally?
