What the heck is with the drone operators in full combat fatigue…
from the same footage in post 4950
You can see the carrier is meant for front line usage, self-sufficient. The front half of the container is the operation station having a full sized door. The hatch on the top (opened) is another proof of the operation station.

See the equipment rack in the front half of the cabin. The truck's V shaped under side is another evidence of very hostile front line usage.

The aircraft is meant for front line usage by soldiers in combat considerring the range of helicopter UAV is much shorter than winged UAV. Other source also say that the mission is for urban and close-in warfare. So the operators are like members of an assult team.

The "cosplay" is meant to demonstrate its true intended application.

That is really doubtful. 10000 kilometer range? With a single MiG-21 engine? I don't think so.
Looking at the wing design it seems optimized for higher speed and altitude. To patrol up to the 2nd island chain not intercontinental.
Perhaps with WS-13 or better engine the range would improve. It has similar thrust and less fuel consumption. I don't know if it would fit though.

I don't know if it still uses a single MiG-21 engine, other than the prototype. Last Zhuhai show there were many UAV specific engines being displayed.
